WH402
This house is designed to carefully reflect the classic proportions of the traditional whitehouse of the Scottish Highlands. The entrance is through a utility extention to the rear of the building which includes a utility area and a shower room.
The main space of the house includes a farmhouse style kitchen which is divided from the main living space by a central stair. This leads to three bedrooms and a shared bathroom.
This design is ideal for areas where planning restrictions encourages traditional forms of architecture. Many kit houses try and replicate the whitehouse look but fail because the propotion of wall to roof is wrong. That is because the plan is too deep which results in clumsy buildings. This design is so carefully proportioned that it is difficult to distinguish from an original whitehouse.
