This compact house is designed to maximise living space so feels surprisingly large. The kitchen/dining area is open plan to the living room with the two spaces defined by the change in ceiling level. The dining table will comfortably seat 6 people and the living room can have a stove as a focal point. Large areas of glazing open onto a deck and will ideally frame the best view and allow for passive solar gain. The bedroom is conveniently located beside the bathroom and generous storage space is available.

The form of the house is linear to allow it to slot easily into the landscape. The elevations have been kept simple, avoiding the tendency to have the imbalanced window layouts common to many kit houses.

By building this design in SIP, or in timber frame with attic trusses (optional extra) you will have an open attic space into which you can later add the first floor layout of the LH102.
