This design is based upon the form and proportions of the traditional one-and-a-half storey 'whitehouse'. In this version the house is entered via an extension comprising a wind lobby, utility room and storage space.

Three generous bedrooms, including one ensuite, are accessed from a hallway with dramatic skylights above.

The stair from the hall leads up to a first floor comprising an open-plan space with a kitchen/dining area divided from the living area by the stairwell. There is also a bathroom on the first floor.

Light floods in from the dormer windows and from the skylights over the stair and kitchen area. A stove makes an excellent focal point for the living space.
