A clean and straightforward traditional design which follows simple classical proportions.  The design is shown here with traditional chimneys and skews.

In this design entry is via a rear porch/windlobby door, which helps to keep draughts through the house to a minimum. The front elevation of the house is balanced by a central window, which allows light to flood into the open-plan living area.  This makes the house feel spacious and airy despite the small foorprint.

 

Access to the bedroom is by a central stair which defines the dining/kitchen area from the living room.  The bedroom is the vaulted roof space which feels surprisingly large.  A spacious bathroom is opposite the bedroom.
