Our Airigh range of kit houses is a modern interpretation of Scotland’s traditional summer ‘sheilings’ (or, in Gaelic, àirighean). Once common in the Scottish Highlands, those small dwellings were occupied while the cattle were out on their summer pastures.
This small studio apartment is ideal as a holiday let for one person, or as an exclusive guest room in the grounds of a hotel. Slightly larger than the AGH101, it includes an en-suite bathroom.
In many regions, thanks to its modest size and footprint, this particular model will already be covered by ‘permitted development’ rules and will not need planning permission.
The most popular external finish is black larch, although profiled (corrugated) metal sheeting is also common. Depending on which package you opt for, we could fit the exterior cladding for you.
This model is available in both structurally-insulated panels (SIPs) or cross-laminated timber (CLT). More details of our various flat pack house packages can be found on the price and specification pages. Please note: the 200mm cassette floor with glulam beams is an optional extra.
