Hebhomes has a strong social culture and a staff that are dedicated to improving our product and delivery.  Based in Glasgow and our Skye offices we endevour to offer the best experience for our customers.  To have happy customers our directors strongly believe that we should have happy staff.  Our offices are relaxed but hard working.  We enjoy social events together and take a real pride in seeing our houses completed and our clients delighted. 

As well as our office staff we have a team of consultants and contractors working for Hebhomes.  All of them share our ambitions for the projects we deliver.  This includes structural engineers, sewerage engineers, services engineers as well as the fabricators and contractors in our Perth factory.

Alasdair MacGregor Stephen RIAS – Director

After graduating with an honours in architecture from Strathclyde University Alasdair continued his education at the Gaelic college the Sabhal Mòr Ostaig on the Isle of Skye.  It was during his course in business studies and communications that he set up Dualchas Architects with his twin Neil.

Subsequently Alasdair founded Hebhomes along with his brother and former director Donald John MacLennan.  Since 2010 Alasdair has led Hebhomes, growing the company along with his talented and dedicated team of outstanding staff. 


Neil Robertson Stephen RIAS - Director

Neil Stephen was educated at Glasgow School of Art and the Macintosh School of Architecture.  After graduating he travelled to Hong Kong where he spent several months working on major commercial projects for Tom Yip Architects.  His fifth year dissertation examined the architectural and political problems of housing in the Highlands. This led to him setting up Dualchas Building Design with his brother, later renamed to Dualchas Architects, which set out to transform the design quality of domestic Highland architecture.

He was lead architect on the project at Boreraig, a house which won an RIAS award and has been widely published internationally. As a founder and director of HebHomes he has helped lead in the way in bringing affordable quality design to the wider public.


John Martin - Senior Architectural Technician / Project Manager

John brings a wealth of experience to his current role as Project Manager of HebHomes.  In 2007 he joined the team as an Architectural Technician and advanced to Senior position having developed our staff skills and systems in both quality and capability.

John is now responsible for the company’s management systems, statutory approvals and delivery of projects onsite.  Prior to joining HebHomes he was an Architectural Technician for Anta Architecture and studied Architectural Technology at UHI.  


Lynsey Foley - Sales and Marketing Manager 

Lynsey is a BA Corporate Communication graduate from Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh.  After being an agency accounts manager at the Scottish Media Group, Lynsey has held senior positions in sales at the Herald, the Daily Mail and Radio Clyde.  She joined Hebhomes in 2011 and is in charge of coordinating marketing and sales for a fast-growing company.

Other roles include media communications and events organisation. 


Adam Winstanley - Architectural Technologist & IT Manager

Currently working for both Heb Homes & our sister company Dualchas Architects Adam’s experience as a technologist allows him to take on a large range of responsibilities, supporting client’s & staff on construction detailing design, statutory approvals, energy design, specification development, procurement, cost analysis, IT hardware & software development & support.

Adam helps integrate technology & knowledge ‘in house’ so we can be at the forefront of the most advanced new ideas in the construction sector, enhance partnerships & develop cutting edge practice operations for the benefit of our clients. In short, he is our techy geek!  


Merrill Park  - Sales Coordinator

Merrill graduated from The Glasgow School of Art in 2005 and worked for several years as a commercial interior designer and contract administrator on large scale projects in Glasgow and London before moving into design sales and marketing in 2013.

Merrill joined HebHomes in 2016, bringing her knowledge of design and sales to coordinate new project enquiries as well as providing contractual administrative support to the architectural team.



Fraser Stewart - Part 2 Architect

Fraser graduated from the Mackintosh School of Architecture in Glasgow. He has a keen interest in ecological architecture and was nominated for a number of sustainability awards during his studies at the Mac. He values practical experience within the industry and has had a lot of on-site experience having been part of several builds. 

Fraser worked with Hebhomes’ sister company, Dualchas Architects, in Skye before moving to Glasgow to complete his masters and work for Hebhomes. 


Marc Hillis – Part II Architectural Assistant

Marc received his Masters with distinction in advanced Architectural Design from The University of Strathclyde in 2017. During his studies he achieved 2 Glasgow Institute of Architects awards for his 3rd and 4th year projects. For his final year, Marc designed and built a viewing platform for the RSPB in Loch Lomond as part of the Scottish Scenic Routs initiative. The structure, called Gaels View, received 4th prize in the APS National Student Design Awards and was shortlisted for the 2A European Awards.

Since joining the HebHomes and Dualchas teams, Marc has been helping with the office photography as well as his architectural duties.



Mark Hair – Architectural Technologist

Mark graduated with a Bsc(Hons) in Architectural Technology from Edinburgh Napier University and is a forward thinking technologist with experience in both Housing, Transport and Healthcare sectors. Before taking up the role of Architectural Technologist with Hebridean Homes in 2018, Mark has worked with both IPD Architects in Glasgow and Construction Design Architects in Airdrie, giving him an in depth technological understanding of both Domestic and Non Domestic sectors.
